PNOZmulti is multifunctional, freely configurable and tailor-made for use in many areas of mechanical engineering. Use PNOZmulti to monitor safety functions such as E-STOP, safety gates, light barriers, two-hand and many more. PNOZmulti can also be used to perform standard control functions economically with the possibility of removing the need for two control systems (safe and standard).
With its analogue input module, the PNOZmulti is particularly suitable for the process engineering sector and burner controls. The analogue input module provides two independent, safe inputs. With just a few clicks of the mouse in the PNOZmulti configuration tool it is possible to define up to eight limit values for each input. The inputs are suitable for connecting transducers or encoders with standardised 10 V voltage signals or 20 mA current signals. The new module is just 45 mm wide and is inserted to the left of the PNOZmulti base unit. Users benefit from rapid commissioning and reduced wiring.
The multifunctional safety system PNOZmulti is modular and expandable and therefore tailor-made for the respective application. These benefits really come into their own when there are several safety functions to be monitored where previous several individual safety relays would have been used.
Instead of wiring, generate the safety circuit on the PC using an intuitive configuration tool. Store the configuration on a chip card and download it to the PNOZmulti base unit. In the field of safety technology this has previously only been possible using programmable control systems. Subsequent modifications or adjustments are quick and easy to implement via the PNOZmulti Configurator. So the PNOZmulti is as simple as a PNOZ, but as flexible as a controller. Pilz has continually expanded the PNOZmulti product range. In addition to the wide range of safety functions the safety relay can also monitor drives for standstill and speed, providing an economical solution for monitoring and controlling presses.
